mandy harris is a completely self-taught computer jill-of-all-trades. Her first computer (at the age of 16) was the Texas Instruments TI-994A upon which she learned BASIC programming and played lots of games. Since then, she has learned a lot more (and played a lot fewer games). A long detour through the world of academia and literary studies finally landed her right back where she was as a teenager—in front of a computer puzzling out computer code.

She is also an avid softball player (PPWSL) and youth coach (PPBA) and editorial board member of Women & Performance.
